DeerFlow 2.1.0: pluggable memory backends, new sandbox providers, breaking config changes
DeerFlow 2.1.0 was published on 2026-09-24. The release notes state that it closes the 2.1.0 milestone with 772 merged pull requests since 2.0.0 and adds pluggable memory backends (memory.manager_class), four additional sandbox providers, an out-of-tree extension system, authentication and authorization features, and workspace features such as projects and conversation branching. Listed breaking changes include: /mnt/skills is reserved for managed skills, sandbox.replicas is enforced as a capacity limit for E2B, memory settings moved to memory.backend_config, and Docker now binds the published port to 127.0.0.1 by default.
